Challenge X pipe(street version) review

My honest opinions...

So it all began on a Sunday morning, woke up and first thing I did was think about adding more stuff to my m3. Challenge x pipe(street version) was the first thing that came to mind. So i got a hold of Nate at IND placed the order and it was shipped out on Monday. Excellent Service by the way. Friday i checked the tracking number and it said it was on the truck ready to be sent my way. I was so happy(like a baby lol) and couldnt wait to get this thing put on. I saw the Fedex truck outside at 1PM, picked up the piping and went straight to the muffler shop to get it put on. Now spending $1,100 dollars I had some expectations. Power, sound, and fitment were the the main concerns. So they started working on the car and soon discovered that the piping right behind the cats had to be cut to fit the new piping. This was something I thought wouldnt have to be done as I read it was a true plug and play system. For example taking all the bolts off and putting the new piping on. Anyway not a biggie but just thought I would tell potential buyers. In the beginning they were having a little trouble with install which made me so nervous! However they figured out that the rear section of the piping wasnt making full connect with the gintani exhaust causing the piping to hit the under panel underneath the car(near the cats). Install took about 2 hours, keep in mind they were taking their time and doing it with no rush. Once install was done i was so eager to hear how it would sound. Having the gintani race exhaust is already one of the loudest rear sections you can have so I was kind of scared.

Just revving it when it was done, I can tell it woke the exhaust up and sounded a lot more exotic. Got that instant grin on my face. I pull out and can suddenly notice the power difference. Car seems to pull a little better, more importantly its more torquey. So the power was there, install was perfect

NOWWW the sound.....
wow . Words dont do this justice. It sounds like a bad assssss machine. The cars awake! The beautiful thing is during idle its pretty much the same. You hear the sound when you step on it. I havent gone full throttle yet as its raining, but I can only imagine how nice it must sound. Sorry no videos yet, ive only driven about 5 miles and weather doesnt allow but Ill get some.

Is this the best $1,100 ive spent on the car? HELL YES

Is it what I expected? HELL YES

Would I recommend it? you know the answer lol

Ill try to add some more reviews once I drive the car more..

Thanks for all the kind words guys...

So ive driven it maybe 50 miles since its been installed and the sound got even louder. At this point with a Gintani race+challenge x pipe, I think im really really asking for it from cops. Car is really loud , eventhough it sounds so good. I have to look around 24/7 while driving to make sure there are no cops. Maybe Ill get use to it, I had the same feelings when I just got the exhaust too. Alarms go off left and right.

Sound is INCREDIBLE though, breaks necks left and right. I had a friend drive my car while I was outside and you can hear it for blocks(seriously).

I guess time will tell, I think I might sell or get a Gintani Sport exhaust.

The power is very noticable, the car is way faster. Pulls much harder, much more torquey.

My 2 cents.
