No, not what you are thinking! I got my new tires yesterday!! I ordered a set of Continental ExtremeContact DW's. I purchased them off Discount Tire Direct for $800 shipped + Free Flip Cam! Can't wait to install them on Monday, but after I have a little fun with my old tires.

Thinking of getting those myself. I just don't have the heart to waist what's left of my RFTs just yet. They only have about 4k on them.
Are those 18 or 19's?

I have over 8K on my DW's (not DWS) and like them a lot. Be sure you are careful for the first 300 miles. The release agent is greasy...

ContiSportContact ONE. As in the first generation ContiSportContact. Not CSC 3s.

I am super stoked to test these tires out. I will be careful of the "release agent" being greasy...What does that mean exactly? Is it an agent that helps break the tires in?

Also, don't wreck your car wearing out your RFTs either. There is a reason you are getting rid of them in the first place!

Usually takes about 50 miles or so to wear away the majority of the mold release agent. It can take up to 500 miles and several heat cycles for the compound to fully "cure" for best grip.

Have DWs as well. Car had PS2s on it when we bought it. The DW set I have is substantially wider than the stock-size PS2s however, ride quality and noise are the same if not better - and PS2s are rather widely regarded as having good ride quality and noise characteristics. Hard to compare grip in my case since the DW set I have is a good bit wider than stock. Suffice it to say, grip is really good with the 255/285 DWs....

I was able to get it going for about 45 degrees while doing a donut then the car would stop getting gas. I would be flooring it and the car wouldn't move. It's like it had some kind of governor on it. Thoughts?
