Who got left behind after allocation assignments
I got an email yesterday that the dealership is only getting one 1M for the whole year and I was 2nd on the list!
I was on David's list, has any body else been rejected because of allocation numbers? |

I'm #1 on my dealer's list but they didn't get an allocation yet. I'm gonna be a tad upset if we don't get an allocation.
I don't want an M3, or M6, and I have no other brand interest (never really have, except for the Sky Redline sitting in my garage for sunny topless day use). This car is a pretty close shot at the old E30M3 days. (keeping fingers crossed) |

We already got confirmation from BMW NA that no dealer gets a whole year's worth of allocation at one time. The 1M production is month to month, so let's all take a deep breath.

You can never trust any CA, even ones with good reputation. So no dealer knows how many they will be getting for the whole year! Why would he tell me they only got one? Next person in line was willing to pay more perhaps? just curious.

I'd just hang tight with your dealer, if I were you. Especially if you already have a deposit. Just pester your CA once a month, even more if you read about more updates around here. |

+1. Easier said than done. I've been dreaming of this for years...hoping BMW would at least try to get back to their roots and shave some weight off of the bloatwagons that currently represent the M Division. |

If I were you I would hold onto my spot if you can wait, and see what happens since we have the whole year to see how many cars end up being built and allocated to the US.

My dealer received its allocation Wednesday and the order was turned around immediately.
It received only this one. For forum reference - I have an order sheet with the following: "Priority: 1-Customer Sold" "Assigned to: A-26-26747" "Prod. No.: 6605963" "Customer: [mgr. + dealer names]" "Status: 112 - Scheduled for daily production pack" "Port Loc.: SSIPOA" "Dest. Loc.: 00026747" "Salesperson: [name]" "Model: 111D 1 M" Then follows the car's order configuration details. The most critical being VO, of course. (FTW ... ) |

My dealer didn't get a March allocation. I am #2 on the list there behind forum member 1swift1. My CA said he was optimistic about getting two cars for the year but sure he doesn't know any more than we do. I'm wondering if those of us who aren't #1 with our dealers should call around the country to find dealers with no list since it sounds like each dealer can get at least one allocation.

But (of course ...) it's not there. Just like all previous orders it takes a long time to actually show up. From my history ... it could be weeks before the BMW Experience website actually has a record of it. 21450 - Momentum BMW, Southwest Freeway site. (Received one unit allocation for both of their stores.) Thanks. My longtime and well-researched salesman said they have received almost no indications of what might or might not be subsequently available. If you want his name let me know. Yours? I have a feeling people are panicking for no reason. In 6-8 months many people will look back and laugh at how irrationally they were thinking/behaving.
When is the last time anyone remembers a run of cars that people who wanted one couldnt get? |

Just curious why people seem to have stuck with 1 dealer. What's the harm going to several (other than a fully refundable deposit, and many dealers in my experience didn't even ask for one). Give you more leverage, and of course better chance at sourcing a car.

Let's hope this is true. Looks like most of us will have to wait a few more months but BMW claims there will be enough to go around.
