Very interesting...
But doesnt really surprise me. I'm sure other manufacturers have done this in the past (not to that extent). There are a ton of rumours that the 'Ring time for the GTR was not set on the tires that get delivered with the car.
True though that it seems pointless for Ferrari to fudge the numbers. I think the majority of 458 buyers could care less if the car goes 0-60 in 3.3 or 3.6 seconds.
Ferrari has a lot more going for it then numbers and shouldnt really have to do this.

This is the problem with the 'Ring times - no standardization or regulation, yet everyone seems to think the times are the Holy Grail.

I am not surprised at this either, although as a consumer and enthusiast, I just want to see a stock car that anyone could walk into a dealership could buy. Not a tweaked one.

That was an interesting read though.

Agreed. Rumor has it that the GT R times were so quick b/c Nissan shortened the distance by about 30 seconds. Either way the GT R and the Z06 were a wake up call for Porsche, and they have responded. Lets see what they have up their sleeve to face the McLaren. PDK GT2 RS.

Did you teach Nissan?or did they use the trick of slowing down the time on the sped up video like your very well polished videos featuring you.

I think this is a clear indication that your repeated pole playing is taking a toll on the blood flow to your brain, albeit a small amount, every little bit helps.

That's a great article - nice to see someone tell it like it is.

He's off the Ferrari christmas card list for sure.
