Im getting my oem exhaust done today. Help?
Im getting it cut open from the bottom. Taking all the fibers out. Cutting out all 4 of the perferated pipes an replacing with striat pipes. An put back the fibers in an seal it up.
They want $280. Is it worth it?! Let me know what you guys think |

Why not just forgo the can and put straight pipes in? That sounds like what you want anyway. Or go with some cutout valves.

Stealth, so the dealer can't tell that you've modded it besides the loud noise, lol

Who cares? It's not like a modified exhaust will void the warranty. Plus, any mechanic will know something's up when he hears it.

How much do you really get from it though? Probably not enough to justify the loud, raspy sound youre gonna get

You´ll get some of the best sound out there with no drone... take it from someone you did it.

ok first thing is a lot of people here did the cut out from the bottom, I DID mine from the top to so when my car hit the lift it wont show at all.
2nd if your going to cut all perforated pipes and replaced it with straight pipe SHIT is going to be SO LOUD and drone will be there. 3rd i would put just cut the bigger perforated pipes out and have your 2nd CAT DELETED. and call it a day... this way no drone and exhaust note are going to be a beast with a little power from removing the 2nd cat not much but yea it will make a difference. EDIT: yes 280 is duable I PAID 250 WITH MINE.

Dude, just get electronic exhaust cutouts, it's the best of both worlds.
You'll regret the straight pipes as soon as you get on the freeway, trust me.
