Interestingly enough, I was pulled over yesterday for making a left turn into a residential street that apparently doesn't allow left turns (although there was NO One Way sign). The cop was just parked there waiting for people to make that left knowing it's a common error. I was respectful to the LEO, apologized for the mistake and informed him it was the first time driving in this neighborhood. He told me it's a new traffic pattern and there were 2 signs but people just haven't caught on. He complimented my car, and was really lenient, gave me 2 tickets for non-moving violation instead. I deserved one anyway which was no front plate. But when he returned my license, registration, etc. - he asked what's the fastest I'd ever driven in the car? I sorta gave him this skeptical look and he said "I swear I won't give ya a ticket, just curious... " I made up some number like 110mph, and he was shocked. His reponse... "That's it?!? I thought you would've said at least 120mph, if not 150mph" LOL. I told him I knew better and if I ever got nailed, I'd be going away in cuffs which is not something I'm interested in... he said that was smart and let me go on with my day, complimented me once more on the car.

I would have said 140 mph indicated on my speedometer.

Then quickly follow that up with "that was at California Speedway on the big oval."

What an idiot. Not only grabs the camera and jumps out to film the aftermath of his own spin, but he proceeds to film the cars passing by as if he is on some kind of picnic. If you were to go off at the same spot and take him (and perhaps that corner worker as well who seems to be just grazing around) down in the process, I bet he'd try to sue you for it (well, maybe not in Europe, but could happen here). I hate it when people display complete disregard for track rules, including speeding past stopped cars by the flag station with red flags waving all over the place. "Uh, I just didn't see it." Well 3 other cars did, didn't you see them at least, and you're supposed to be an advanced driver or what--why do you think we have these long drivers' meetings every morning Beaves? Did these guys even hold a drivers' meeting?...

Seemed pretty clear to me that this douche developed a sudden, substantial vibration about 20 seconds prior to the spin. Several instances of suboptimal judgment there.... I'm much more worried about what other dick heads may be at a driving event than I am of myself, probably why I haven't done one yet...
