GIAC vs ESS flash

I have narrowed my choices down to either GIAC or ESS for my car. I like the other (piggyback) options but I don't like having to take the device out for dealer visits.

I don't want to start a tuner war so please let's not go there.

So between the ESS and GIAC which do you guys favor? The ESS works out to be a bit cheaper once I figure in the install and "stock" tune costs for the GIAC. I also like that the ESS unit holds my stock file for dealer visits. I also like that the ESS has two files included in the price.

I am leaning towards ESS but may be missing something so I'd love some input.

I do not have direct experience with the ESS, only GIAC. The GIAC has been 100% reliable for us. GIAC has the most well developed tunes for the N54 on the market currently. They are stock smooth but with 2X's the power.

Look into the Cobb Access Port as well
