Tuning: G Power

Hello,

I tried to search for G Power but there was not so many threads...

Is the M3 E9X owners here on m3post purchased by European Supercharged Systems??

What is wrong with G Power? To this date: 35 ESS SC customers and 3 G Power SH customers = F A I L

Does a VT2-625 run so much faster then a SKII CS package?

I like the over all design of the Gpower kit. But the fact that it is not a straight bolt on, kind of a deal breaker for me. Apparently you have to cut the front to make room for the intercooler..and a couple of more parts I think the the valve cover on the driver side. And another part I forget what it is..Compare to ESS, ESS is straight bolt on up to vt2, and vt2 all you need is to trim a small pieces which is really easy and cheap to replace, if you want to return back to stock. ESS also has strong before and after sales support both in EU and US. IND's custom manifold paint is a huge bonus as well. Give us a lot of room for customization. And the fact that I never heard any negative feedbacks in term of quality of the kit ,power delivery, and reliability. I personally prefer ESS over Gpower.

the air-to-air intercooler design of the G-Power makes its installation much more complicated (and zhang_____ said, it requires some cutting). the ESS is a much simpler design and has been flawless thus far in terms of reliability, which speaks volumes considering they have a lot more kits out there than any other S/C kit (well over 100 at this point if I'm not mistaken).

Okey. So how I understand it:

ESS = Good and simple design, sales support and it actually works quite good!

G Power = More advanced design, better cooling system.

So, can anyone of you ESS customers tell me how fast, on performance box, a M3 VT2-625 does the sprint 0-100 km/h, 100-200 km/h and 200-300 km/h?

G Power SKII CS does it 100 to 200 km/h on 6.1 sek and 200 to 300 km/h on 15.9 sek. Source:

0-100 km/h depends on the launch and tires, we can assume a 4.7 sek run there...

I'm not sure that's true. It might be, but I haven't seen any data that indicates that the G Power design produces lower IATs. The ESS design actually produces quite low IATs because it pulls its air from outside the engine compartment, which I think has a lot to do with why it can make such good power from a relatively small amount of boost.

Also, just because the G Power design is more complex doesn't mean it's more advanced. As Leonardo da Vinci said, "simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."

Price is of course also an issue, i asked for an offer from G-power and it was a lot more expensive.
And as a Swede you do get real good suppurt from the Norweigan shop, Hans did mount my kit and was very serviceminded.
