Interesting history on this car; sold new in North Carolina, went to Texas, and now to South Carolina.
Have you given up on repairs to your 2008 Z4MC?

Yes, Safeco didn't want to repair it.

I was pretty pleased with the settlement amount. The combination of the increaced cost of cars up here combined with the deal I had orignally negotiated resulted in a nice couple pennys in my pocket.

The fact it's a Certified Pre-Owned doesn't mean much other than they add a couple of grand to your final purchase price. Ask for a copy of their Certified Pre-Owned Inspection Checklist:

As you've probably read in your email, I've reached out to the Sandlapper Chapter Area VP to see if he can help you with this car. Let's hope it's everything you want it to be.

Looked at this car online myself.. Thought about having it shipped to Hendrick in Charlotte so I can test drive it.. From what I gather it is not CPO but it does look great with low miles.. Was wondering why it had to be serviced 3 time in the last 5K miles.. I am holding off and going to wait to see if there is a 2008 Space Gray or an Interlagos Blue pop up in the area.. Hope you get it and we want pics if you do!!!!!!!

Carfax reports are pretty vague, and hard to interpret. That said, my guess is that is was a one year lease in NC, or an early turn in from a lease - pretty low mileage in that first year. Then clearly it went to Texas. The final 3 service records could be anything from minor stuff to routine recommended maintenance, to the dealer taking care of service bulletin issues. To me, doesn't mean anything until you can find out what was done. Most of the time I see a service around 1200 miles on the carfax for that very first service they do on M cars - not in this report. Makes me wonder if maybe the dealer had this car for the first year and it somehow was registered as a personal vehicle? I'd definitely ask about that first service and if it was done. The carfax could be misleading if reporting rules in NC are different too. Just means more questions to ask.

Car looks really nice though. Great that it has been in the south. If it were me I'd like to know if it was garaged in Texas or not - just for the sun issue. Kudos to Hendricks for lots of photos. Should have gotten some of the engine bay though...

Are you set on Silbergrau?

I'd check to see if there is any warranty left on the car as 4 years from date of registration from Carfax means the warranty expired recently. Their price seems quite high at $36,950...They should be flexible on that.

Correct the warranty will expire soon so I obtained a additional 4 years for a nominal price and yes they were flexible...it did take some work though. I will post details when it arrives.
