Tiny IND Delivery
Seemed like a good idea to be ready to rid myself of the orange reflectors.
But I'm pretty sure I have just extended the perceived length of the next 35 days by a good 25%. D'oh. Apologies for the low light BlackBerry photo. These are obviously in Jerez Black. Also since receiving the keyhole cover I started wondering if I put this in and get a flat battery am I completely pooched? I read a few threads about the post 2009 E93 losing the key insert in the trunk. Does the E90 still have a trunk keyhole? James

The painted reflectors are exactly that, OEM reflectors custom painted by IND. They should fit as well as the original reflectors. I'll be sure to let you know how well the keyhole cover fits. I actually ordered a second keyhole cover in Sapphire Black for my buddies E90 328i. He'll install that this week and I'll let you know.

OP - I think all of the post 2009 models have no trunk keyhole. I also bought at keyhole cover but in the end opted not to install.

I expect I will still install but perhaps I will hold off until I'm happy the M has a reliable battery.

My IND painted reflectors fit perfectly. Let me go check for a trunk keyhole right now. I don't recall seeing one during washing this past month.
Welcome to the slippery slope of modding! I thought I was going to do "just some IND reflectors, gills, and grilles"... and now here I am steering clear from all those ESS threads!!!

Confirmed. No trunk keyhole in my 2011.5 E90.
Oh yeah, I still have gotten my side gills off. Yet.

Other than that, like you I'll continue to ignore the existence of super charger kits that cost the equivalent of a Korean compact car. I plan on finding a set of the gunmetal OEM 18's for next winter.

Nice. I didn't know front tints were legal in ON. Or are they......... 30 all around will be pretty dark on JB, but looks like you already have that on the black A4?
My 2 favourite mods thus far are actually my Weisslicht LED AEs and LED interior. |

30% tint is pretty light, and by 'all-around' I was excluding the windscreen itself. You're right 30% is what I have on my A4. Depending on availability I might end up with the slightly lighter 35%. As to legality, I think in Ontario the law is pretty vague that leaves it open to any visual obstruction of the driver is ticketable. As it is I've been pulled over a couple of times and not once had an officer comment on the window tint.

good start. I like both, and have both myself. It's unlikely that you will lock your fob inside the car. And if the battery dies you can just replace it. They aren't like the e46 fobs the charge in the ignition.

I'm more concerned about the car battery itself rather than the fob. My understanding is that if the car battery dies you need to be able to pop the hood (or trunk) and get to the remote battery terminals (hood) or battery itself to provide power, hence allowing the power locks to work. I wouldn't worry, (my A4 battery never died in almost 8 years) but I've seen a few dead battery threads around BimmerPost.

I had my reflectors painted at the local body shop that bmw uses, the paint is a perfect match and it only cost me $15. Obviously they fit perfectly since they were the OEM ones off the car.

Great price from the body shop. Around here it's basically $100 to walk in the door of any trustworthy body shop.

I originally purchased both items from a different vendor and I know what you mean, they fit like crap and the paint job was horrible. I wasted no time in buying the IND versions and will never look back. IND products are top notch.

LED interior - I changed all the interior bulbs to white LEDs from the yellow-ish incandescent bulbs. Matches the LED door handle welcome lights, rear plate lights, and my LED AEs of course. Which lights? Door puddle lights, footwells, overhead domes, glove compartment, trunk, and visor vanity. Here's where I started, with a thread by Kev, but he uses some serious imported Japanese bulbs. My conversion was probably ~$120 total, with the Luxer1 dome lights the most expensive at $35 each (post 5). http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...d+interior+kev It's not as bright or ricer as some of those pics show. My other bulbs are about 70-80% as bright as Kev's. I did not do any housing modifications or replacements like he did. That boosts the cost significantly. I'll take some pics. Oh yes, no error codes for any of the bulbs, which is important to me. Will. |
