Battery charger for reflash
Is anyone using a battery when they reflash using their AccessPORT? I have not, but I am concerned about the battery dying during the process. If so, what brand/type are you using?
Also, is there a way to turn off the angel eyes. When you power cycle the car my angel eyes come on and they will not turn off with the switch. |

had mine in and out. our cars are new enough that the batteries should be solid enough. Now say in a few years as the battery is getting to the end of it's life it's probably worth it. I did have the problem in the past with a shark injector where it wouldn't update my 6 year old car on it's original battery, put charger on and no problems.

use the rocker again to scroll through the different things you can set, until you come to the option that has an icon that looks like a sun...end button to select it, scroll down to off, select again...done and done its all in the manual, page 75 i think...I just had to reset everything after the hpfp reflash. |

An inexpensive battery charger will give you an added layer of protection and a whole lot of comfort. They are under $50 at your local autoparts store.
With the gigantic 50lb BMW battery you should be okay but I would use a charger anyhow. |
