The Annual Spring LoneStar BMWCCA HPDE @ MSR Cresson April 30 & May 1

The Annual Spring LoneStar BMWCCA HPDE @ MSR Cresson April 30 & May 1

Hello I am Steve Hodges the HPDE Chair for the Lone Star BMWCCA. We would like to invite everyone to our Spring HPDE.

The Lone Star Chapter BMWCCA is proud to announce the annual Spring DE (Driving Event) and Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, TX. The dates are April 30 and May 1. We will be running MSR in the normal CCW version and the standard 1.7 course.

Registration will be opening on Feb.1 on motorsportreg.com. Pricing will be $295 for non-solo students, $200 for BMWCCA solo students.
If this HPDE has to be canceled because of lack of entrants the program will be dropped from the Chapters activities. please sign up EARLY. Waiting till the last minute causes financial problems for the chapter.

This is NOT a racing school but rather a safe, driver’s education event, conducted on a closed track under close supervision of experienced instructors that will be in your car with you. You will learn how to handle and control your vehicle at speeds not normally attained on public roads. It will allow you to explore your capabilities as a driver and those of your vehicle. It will also help make you a better driver and to prepare you for emergencies in normal everyday driving.

The event is open to all drivers 18 years of age and older and all makes of cars. It is not a "BMW only" event. All cars and drivers will be subject to the same safety and inspection requirements. You will be required to take your car to a mechanic within one month of the event. There is a tech inspection form that you must bring with you to the event that the mechanic information and signature must be on that sheet. If you have not had this tech inspection done, there will be no provision to have this done at the event and you will not be allowed to run nor will you be given a refund.

If you drive an open top car please refer to our convertible rules page.

All registration will be handled online for this event. We anticipate filling up quickly, so register promptly! Registration does not guarantee acceptance. Cancellations will be allowed up to 2 weeks before the event without penalty less any credit cards fees incurred. Cancellations within 2 weeks of the event will be allowed a credit towards a future event less a $75 administrative fee.

For Questions regarding the event, contact Event Coordinator Steve Hodges from the Chapters website.

Solo advanced is getting full with a few spots left. There is still room for intermediate and novice openings.

Steve, good luck with the event! MSRC is a fun track - if I didn't have another commitment I would make the drive even from Houston no doubt. Hopefully there will be other opportunities to run with BMWCCA in TX in the future.
