The F1 Asymmetrics are rated under the GS-D3's, which I've personally owned and track on before.
The Direzza Z1 Star Specs were a lot better than the GS-D3's, so if you're choosing between the F1 Asymmetric vs. the Star Spec, it's Star Spec hands down; no contest.

edit: I'm not sure if you mean the Dunlop DZ101 or the Z1 star spec. Those are two very different tires.

Basically.....DZ101 < F1 Asymmetric < GS-D3 < Z1 Star Spec.

The star specs took me about 2 track weekends (albeit I was a complete beginner at that time) and a year's worth of driving to wear out. Not too shabby, considering they're not that expensive. And they do provide ample amount of grip

thanks guys, already bought the star specs and I was surprised to see that they were more expensive that the goodyears (almost a grand) when some time ago they were almost the same price as hankooks. kind of felt ripped off so I hope the feeling of driving on those tires make me forget my lighter wallet .

The price went up (at least here in the states,) when Tire Rack arranged exclusive distribution rights for the Star Specs. They are certainly the better track/autocross tire, though for general use I would probably go with the Goodyears - I'm currently running the Hankook V12s on the M as the everyday tire but still have a set of Star Specs for the odd trackday it still runs.
