Windshield Wiper Stalk
Does anybody else find it annoying that you can't see the light on the wiper stalk (unless you boost yourself up or to the side)?
The rain sensor on this car isn't the greatest and I'm constantly having to manually push the stalk down to activate the wipers. Because of this I'm always pushing the button because I think they're not on...which turns them off...which makes them not work at all obviously. It's a constant cycle. Suggestions? Are my wipers not working properly? /rant. |

This "feature" annoys me on my 135i too. I learn to deal with it but there's got to be a better implementation than what they chose.
I assume you know how to adjust the sensitivity on the stalk.

I find it kinda stupid cause you really can't see the LED at all without REALLY leaning forward...I could see it clearly on my old 545i. That said, I usually know when it's on so it's no big deal.
And getting the wipers to work really isn't that difficult......

You can adjust the sensitivity of the automatic wipers, and yes, it is annoying not to se the light.

+1 on not being able to see the light. I tried all positions. the only way is to lean forward which is potentially really dangerous if you are actually driving.lol...

Up all the way on the dial is for the highest sensitivity.

I and II aren't sensitivity, those are the regular ON and FAST speeds. The sensitivity adjustment for the automatic wipers is the lever on the front of the stalk. With the lever at the bottom it's the least sensitive, the top is the most sensitive. There are 4 positions. I found it works great.

Wait a minute..... When you turn your car on the auto wipers are off, right? Right. Then when you push the the auto button for the first time the wipers WIPE once that's to let you know you've just turned the auto on. What else do you need to know/confirm that they are on???
