Only on the short wheelbase Supercrews in Lariats,Platinums and it is the standard engine in the Limited,Harley and Raptors. It should be a big improvement over my last F150 with the 5.4.

Looks good Duncan!!! My dad and I test drove a 2010 Platinum just before Christmas and I have to say I was very impressed with the build quality and aesthetically pleasing materials that Ford is using nowadays. Let us know how the 6.2 is after you have a chance to drive it a little.

By the way, I drive a POS Toyota and I love the thing. Never ever had to go to the dealer for anything but oil filters and air filters since I bought it 3 years ago and ~46000KM (I never had the accelerator pedal recall done yet).

I can honestly say that if I were in the market for a new truck, Ford would be on my list of candidates...... they sure have started making a nice product lately.

Jamie. If I had a Tundra my attitude towards Toyota would probally be a lot different. This FJ Cruiser that I have driven for last few months is a repo in all fairness does run well for having 90000 kms and being beat to crap. The FJ is a design that looks OK but for use in the everyday world does not fare very well.Poor visability, huge wind noise from the roof rack at any speed over 60kph,no roll stiffness and just wallows down the road,Terrible transmission programing always upshifting and then downshifting with small changes in throttle opening, and then this AM i discover that Toyota has never discovered that low washer fluid warnings are a very good ideaOther than that it is OK to drive!
Yes Ford has got good things going on with the trucks and I am quite curious to see how the 6.2 works out in normal useage.I actually wanted the Twin Turbo Eco boost V6 but we probally will not see those till March.I waited 5 months for this one to arrive from ordering and it is one of the 1st 6.2's built.I really wanted a Raptor but my Boss was not as keen on the idea as I was so we settled on this one.Not that I have a problem with that!

Not really a fan of the FJ myself. Actually I am not a big fan of Toyota but I know they make good products but generally speaking their products are very boring. My tundra has been a very good vehicle but as for the interior, there is no comparison between the quality/aesthetics of it and the new Fords. I too am very interested in seeing how the new Ecoboost engine works out, just imagine the software that will be available for that thing shortly!!! My uncle has a new F350 with the 6.7 Powerstroke and I can say is that it is unbelievable...... extremely quiet, crazy power, an unbelievable fuel economy. Five New truck engines in two years....... I can't remember another manufacturer has done that??? can you???

Suncor uses only ford trucks up here in Fort Mac and the fleet rate us employees get from the local dealer is just amazing...... Next time around I may have the blue oval parked in my driveway!!! Congtrats on yours..... How is it so far???

Picked it up this aft and it sure is an upgraded truck over my last 2 150's.The 6.2 has an old muscle car type sound to it and feels very muscular & effortless compared to previous 5.4's and this alone is probally the biggest change in driving the truck over the earlier version.I think that this will actually tow the rated 11100 lbs with some authority which the 5.4's had none of with a load. The dash display has the same info screen as the upmarket Super Duty's which does provide a wealth of information and of course it has the great Ford nav & audio systems.I have the manuals in the house to figure out all the nuances of all the new electronicsOverall I am quite impressed by the upgrades on this truck and I guess I will see how it tows in a few weeks when I go on the 1st sled trip of the season.

Now this is our luxury SUV (got the first one that landed in dec 2007) from none other then the parent company: toyota themselves, its a proper SUV with lots of tow capability and off-road gear and I'm afraid IMO trumps the range rover in every way

+ 1 Yup!

This truck is king of all SUV's in saudi when I was there, nothing beat it in the dessert!

Here in Canada, people don't realise its prestige and tradition and run like brand whores after the range...

I'm in london these days and you rarely see any LX's, just Landcruisers!!!

I'm thinking of flying my LX over

On a side note

"...khef hak habibi? anta saudi...?....."

Yes the LX would be the prefered vehicle over a Landcruiser but as a vehicle that would be used for towing it is pretty useless.Towing capacity of only 7000 lbs with only 1700 lbs of cargo load including passengers.Great for the wife to run around in but not so much for actually using as a truck as a lot of us actually need!In the real world my F150 can be bought for about 50% of what a loaded LX would be

I have instructed people in pickup trucks before but they were 4500lb Ford Lightnings not 6000lb 4wd Crewcab pickups and besides I have a trackcar to play with

Absolutely jealous Duncan, had a few F150's in the past but downsized to SUV's. Yours is beautiful, would love to have one just like it but I'd be living in the bed (the one in the truck) if I did.

Make sure you get a 6.5' bed if that is the case...... 5.75' bed may be a bit cramped for sleeping. Besides, just in case the wife wants to reconsile the extra room will come in handy if she comes over to visit!

That has been suggested by my wife more than once in the last 26 years

The 6.2 only comes in 145" wb which is the 5.1/2 ft box.But I do know that you can sleep across the back seat
