Black Ice Warning

The Black Ice Warning came on for the first time this morning while I was driving briskly on US 59. When I glanced at the dash I thought it was a warning that my wheel was loose. (It was early). At any rate, the warning served its' purpose. Only the Germans would remind you it was cold outside.........

Believe it or not, here in Los Angeles, I have gotten the “DING” 37 degree Black Ice Warning, twice in the last two weeks.

Yep, 3 degrees celcius the black ice warning comes on, which is pretty much every day during the winter for us Brits.

Guess where it happened, that’s right “Woodland Hills” right in front of Fry’s…

I think below a certain temperature it shouldn't go off. "I know it's focking cold out, quit rubbing it in, and just turn on the seat heaters already!"

how does the car know the outside temperature? Is it the sensors? So when i take the car to the indoor garage the temperature will change right away right? I know maybe it's a silly question but just popped in my mind thanks
