Smile X Pipe

Happy New Year? How is everyone?

I'm looking for nice X pipe for my E92 M3.
I used to have Active X pipe and Active cat. But I felt less power while the car is starting. And I wanna carry some X pipe which can have high exhaust sound. The ex Active X pipe didn't make any high sound only low sound.

So I'm considering of carrying the Challenge Race X pipe for my car?
Does anyone who install Challenge X pipe for E92 M3 get the high exhaust sound?

And I'm asking for the good price of Challenge X pipe RACE model.

How much more does the challenge race X-Pipe weigh vs the Akra catless X-pipe? I am already very satisfied with the Challenge race and have no desire to change but just curious of the weight difference.

For great gains and amazing sounds go for the Gintani x-pipe! Great build quality! Check my other posts for videos of the Gintani pipe paired with diff rear sections!

Challenge Street is a nice option for M owners that don't want to run a custom tune or delete-R for the CEL.

You could take the OEM pipe and remove the secondary cats and you would be hardpressed to find any hp.

My Challenge Street Pipe gained me 12hp/10tq, plus nice low growl that fades into a nice high pitched sound via AA exhaust.

>>>I came back from U.S. last week. Yes, Iwas just wondering how it would work and what the sound was like.

Are you still asking Vorsteiner about my carbon bootlid which has some cracks. What should I do?

no clue about xpipes and i have some questions:

1. will this void my warranty even tho its bolt on?
2. will i get an idrive computer errors?
3. will this cause my stock exhaust to sound louder? if yes, is it noticeable? or marginal?
4. whats the benefit of having only an x-pipe? do i need other things along with it to get the full benefit?

Thanks alot. if this suits me, ill pm the vendors to get it

1. That is up to your dealer's service advisor as it varies from dealer to dealer. From our customers' experiences, they have not had a warranty questioned.
2. No there won't be iDrive errors.
3. Yes it will, but it will be most noticeable with an aftermarket exhaust such as an Akrapovic Slip-on or Eisenmann Race.
4. It will provide a less restrictive exhaust flow which will yield a horsepower gain. Mated with a new muffler will give you a nice exhaust note and maximized power gains.

thanks David..appreciate the info....another question...does anyone ever get xpipe and just leave on the stock exhaust? or do all your customers add a muffler with it?

I love the akrapovic and i wouldnt mind buying the full system outright, but the dam tips bother me...i like the polished look much better...i know its small but im just picky about that because over time, the matte finish could look trashed...

does akra make polished ones for the akra full system? thx agian

While the majority of our customers mates the Challenge X-pipe with aftermarket mufflers, there has been those that have gone with the OEM muffler and still felt a gain in power and a little more aggressive exhaust note. As for the Akrapovic coming in polished tips, it's not currently available at this time, but you can have the tips powdercoated like one of our customers did.

If you're looking for a nice polished tipped muffler, I would definitely suggest the Eisenmann Race, which looks amazing in my opinion especially with the LeMans tips.

Do you have any experience with Challenge Street and cat-back Corsa? I worry a little bit about possible drone. Corsa with factory x-pipe sounds great, but I want a little louder car and little more low end torque. Will changing to Challenge Street help that without droning?

I would suggest going with Bypass Test pipes over the street pipe, as the street pipes provide little to no power gains.
