Does it pay to get them cut/re-welded?

I just put on a Mesiterschaft Lx catless system on my Remus Race section. The Tips stick out too much, and i've been debating this for a while...

Should i get the tips on the Remus Cut and RE-welded?

Or just leave it like that? because maybe it would hurt the resale value?

Drive by was done by my friend, he races in the Jetta TDI series, awesome driver. Turned off traction, and all hell went loose in 2nd...just wait til he hits 3rd gear...
