M3 mpg?
What's everyone's current all-time MPG on your m3? I'm about 1000miles in my e92 and getting about 13.1mpg.. I haven't bothered
Using auto stop/start function... I know it varies depending on driving style but just curious what everyone is currently running. Let us know your e9X odo reading and mpg! |

Just got done with a long road trip, and the computer says 22.8mpg averaging 120kph. Not sure how accurate the computer is, and I don't usually try to figure it out when filling up because... I just don't really care what mileage I get.
One thing I have noticed, the better my mileage, the less fun I have driving. Not sure why that is

My car is still new, only drove from dealer to home then home to wife's parents place then back home... Odometer shows only 20 miles...
When I left the dealer the trip computer said avg 6 mpg...after my short drive, it still says 6 mpg. LOL.

Usually 13 or 14 mpg. I just like keeping the RPM high in this car.

Mine is a 4 month old 2011 with 5500 mi. Got pretty crappy (~15mpg) average for the first few tanks, but keeps getting better, especially through the first 1500 miles or so.
Now, I normally average about 19 mpg on a 25mi round trip commute to work on 2 lane 45-55 mph roads. On road trips I have seen from 22-24 mpg, but I am consciously trying to keep my mpg up....keeps me entertained and lessens the change of speeding tickets Cold starts really kills the gas mileage.....longer warm up in the mornings during this unseasonably cold weather really drops the average...went from 19 to 17-18 mpg average per tank with this cold weather (i.e. 15-25F in the mornings). Also installation of the full AA exhaust with catless x-pipe killed the gas mileage for a while as I couldn't keep my foot out of the gas, but now that I am used to it my gas mileage is back to about the same place it was before install. |

Am at over 51K miles on my 2008 E93 M3 and and according to the computer (which I rarely reset) I'm averaging 17.2 mpg.
