Carbon Fiber Roof Weave Pattern?

Does anyone know what the weave pattern is for the carbon fiber roof on the M3? 1x1 or 2x2?

And does anyone have a good pic of the two weave patterns next to each other so I know what they look like?

I am planning exterior carbon fiber mods and I want to make sure I order the matching weave pattern of the roof.

I have found only 1 small picture by Vorsteiner but I cannot see much of a difference.

Thanks in advance.

M3 weave is 1x1. AFAIK, Vorsteiner is also 1x1.

M3 coupe roof is 1x1.

AFAIK, Vorsteiner is one of the few aftermarket companies that also uses 1x1 weave.

The factory CF roof on the M3 is 1x1 and if you are curious, the carbon leather interior is a 2x2 weave pattern (the carbon leather is not real CF). I personally like the 2x2 weave and wish they did that on the roof as well.

When I had Vorsteiner parts on my E46 M3 I choose the twill pattern, 2x2.

Are the BMW Performance front splitters and rear spoiler also a 1x1 weave that matches the roof?

The roof may be 1X1 but the CF leather trim looks 2X2 to me. Has anyone else noticed that?

That's because it is. Here's a closeup pic of the 2x2 weave pattern on the Vorsteiner parts I had on my previous M3:

That actually looks more like 2X1. 2X2 would be a square pattern...

yup, the roof is 1x1 and the carbon leather trim is 2x2. The pic just above is definitely 2x2 as well. I prefer 2x2.

Does anyone have a pic of both so we can see them side by side?
