The weather is looking pretty bad at the moment. A lot of the guys on e46 fanatics aren't too keen to go if its raining. I'll check the weather reports tomorrow as they are usually pretty accurate by then but if its going to be raining we will postpone it to the 23rd. If we do decide to postpone i will send a PM to anyone that has showed interest to ensure that everyone knows
Sorry for the stuff around guys but its a great road. I've travelled it in the wet and the dry and i can tell you its certainly worth waiting a couple of weeks to ensure its sunny. |

I thought so! I hope you get your car back on the road soon bro.
We should start planning it soon. I'm not too keen to run my car in the heat but if we get a nice cool night and a nice turn-out I'm always up for it. Adrian's car will leave us for dead once he gets the RB Turbo upgrade though. I've already shotgunned first ride |

Yes it's still on. I'm thinking we might have to delay due to land slides and road conditions. Nothing worse than spending so much time avoiding potholes that you don't get to enjoy the road. Once again I'll send out pm's to make sure everyone is fully aware of the change.

I drove up Mt Mee Road from Dayboro today after booking the wedding venue, and had to turn around a few km from the intersection at Dayboro as the road was closed. Some of it was single lane with traffic light control due to landslides and chunks of road missing. There's a few evil potholes to be found too.

Guys i really hate having to do this but we are going to delay the cruise until Feb 27th. As you all know the rains have completely destroyed some of the roads, there has been land slides in some areas and over all its not going to be a good drive until its all cleaned up and back to normal. If the problem was isolated i would imagine the roads would be fixed promptly. There is however, so much damage to roads in SEQ that i think it will take a while before they get to fixing the roads up.
I've mentioned this before but I've driven this road numerous times, it's an absolute pain to drive when its littered with pot holes so i think if we give it a month the roads should be fixed and we will have a far more enjoyable cruise. Once again, i will send out PM's to everyone who has showed interest in the event to ensure everyone is kept in the loop. Thanks for your patience |
