Any recall for 2011 135i?

Just curious is there any issue with the new n55 1 series... Minor issue major issue anyone?

Only "recall" I had was the DME update which seems to only be for DCT equipped cars. I noticed a change in shifting behavior with Sport button engaged in automatic mode, seems to shift a touch quicker, no negatives.

There was the seatbelt tensioner recall for awhile, but my SA told me that BMW recalled the recall and are no longer doing it as they have deemed it unnecessary.

Mine got pinged for the seatbelt recall 2 weeks ago, here in Germany.

Weird, I got a letter in the mail about it months ago, but when I went in for the halfway oil change I asked about it and my SA told me BMWUSA decided not to do it.

My 135i is in the shop for DME update, third brake light and a goofy window lift. I really think the DME update will allow it to turn into a transformer, LOL. Riding around in a tame 328i with steptronic. Not so bad, but no 135i/DCT.

I think the tail lights also might be effected too. Mine's a 2010 - which I though was imune... but last month one of the tail light LEDs failed. My dealer replaced both sides under the warranty. Its a TSB and not a recall. Still... I thought was just for ealier cars. So maybe 2011's are effected as well?

Is the DME update for specific production dates? I picked up my 135i DCT in May and have not received anything from BMW about an update or recall.

My car was received the the dealer in late June. I was told that the DME update was very recent. One of the things I found out is the programming takes a long time because it is an interactive process. As various computers in the car are updated there are messages that the technician must respond to before proceeding. The service manager also told me there is a new fix for the deck lid brake light. On the paperwork there were references to paint sticks. They also replaced the passenger side window motor due to flakey operation.

The service manager denied that the DME update would make my car into a transformer, but he got a good laugh out of it.

I am not sure of any difference in operation, but the DCT seems to hold a lower gear longer in sport mode after backing off on the accelerator.

Went in today for some dash rattles and there was a minor recall on mine (in Canada). As per invoice, all E82 and E88 N55 - Perform full coding (mirror and nozzle heater).

I had the update about two months ago and I have found that at a steady speed if you turn on the sport button now without modulating the throttle the car will accelerate and the opposite is also true if you turn off the sport button while maintaining speed you decelerate. That's my feeling anyway, could also be in my head I suppose. Other then that I haven't noticed anything different but hard to judge power as the weather here at this time of year doesn't allow for WOT unless you just want to spin your tires.
