Almost Traded-in my E92M3

I almost traded-in my 08 E92M3 for a truck . I was in a market for a truck particularly the Tundra. My plan was to get a fully loaded Tundra 5.7 Crew Max Platinum will all the amenities included. On the last second when everything was negotiated and settled down, I backed out and went home instead. This is the first time that I back-out on a deal when trading in my car.

I had an S4 (4 yrs ownership), P 987S (one year ownership), 335 (one year ownership) that were traded without any second thought just for the past 4 years. There is something about this M3 that I want to hold on to. Maybe because my wife and I bought this as our anniversary car and did the ED. Or maybe it may be the last NA M3.

Anyway, I decided to hold into it and just bought a Tundra 5.7 CM SR5 with decent options. My M3 now is safely and securely tuck in our garage for this winter even though it got a set of winter wheels installed. I need to get that battery minder to maintain the battery charge.

Glad you kept the M... You wouldn't want to anger the forces would you... I dont know why but the car does have that feeling that makes you never want to leave it...

One more thing:

When I asked all my friends about my plan, they were ALL dumbfounded on my plan. They think I am crazy to go ahead with it. Even my children were all in shock when I mentioned to them my plan and they mentioned "that the M3 is your wedding anniversary car". Maybe my children were just telling me that, knowing that they will be able to drive it when the time comes and they can legally drive.

Another funny thing is that most of the SA in most of the dealers that I visited to commented on my M3. Maybe they are telling me subconsciously to hold on to that M3.

How come you don't recycle? Your neighbors have the recycle can out but you don’t!! Add that to the 16 cylinders sitting in your garage and you can kiss “Go Green” bye bye..
I’m just kidding, I tell people who give me this BS “My M3 is worth a lot of GREEN $$$, isn’t this enough”.

I know you were looking for it so I hid it . If I'm not mistaken, there are only 2's M3 I've seen here in Dublin.

Ford F150 was in my list but the 2011 was not yet available that time. I am not that impress with the current 2010 engine. The 2011 model will have the new turbo that really impressed me but anyway, the Tundra 5.7 will be sufficient enough.

A question...

I have been entertaining a “P” 987S, in addition (I love my M3, it’s not going anywhere) to my M3, my question is, what did you think of your 987S, and is it worth getting?

Thanks in advance,
