Volk 18 x 10.5 et22 tire selection

Currently I am running a square setup with 18x9.5 et28 TE 37s using 275/35/18 tires at the track. I purchased a spare recently and then thought I would like to try a staggered setup with the TE 37s for summer driving.

The rears would be 18x10.5 et 22. I do have increased camber and a drop about the equivalent of H&R sport springs. My question is what is the widest tire I can use on the rear without rubbing. It looks like AD08s in 295/30/18 won't quite work, but I have heard conflicting thoughts. Is it feasible to roll the fenders on this car and if so will it solve the problem? Was wondering about AD08s in 285/30 18 or the Nitto 05 in 295/35/18 or 285 35/18. I'm not worried about the fronts as I know 275/35/18 works fine in a variety of tires.

Would appreciate any help on this topic.

I have a similar setup and run 19x10.5et22 TE37s with Hankooks in 295/30 and I don't have rubbing. I have H&R race springs.

When I was on Motons and dropped about 1.2", I would get rubbing with 285/35/18 NT05, wheel is 18x10 et20. It was only over certain sharp bumps though, so not all the time. I was running around -2 camber.

Now I'm running Dinan suspension with same wheel/tire set up and no rubbing.

This is what i'm running at the rear

KW Clubsports (drop is similar to the pic above)
18x10.5 ET30 TE37 (with 5mm spacer) on 295/35/18 NT05
-1.5 camber
stock toe

When I first mounted them, I had slight rubbing where the furthest point forward of the rear bumper meets the rear fender, but it is perfectly fine now after a few track days.

I'd really like to get 295 tires on the rear and 275 on the front in something like NT05s or AD08s. I'm not worried about the front as I'm already doing this on my square setup which I am reserving for R-compound tires. Would rolling the fenders help if it comes to that? I do not have my car that low and I can adjust ride height PRN with my Ground Control suspension.

Another question: Is there more room in the e90 than the e92 or are they roughly equivalent?

I know in the regular E9x, there's more room in the wheel well in E92 vs the E90.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

You'll fit them no problem with 285/30/18. We ran 275/35/18 even with 9.5 and 10.5

Stalker,

Where did you rub? What I'd really like to try is the 295 Nt05 with the 275 up front. I know the front will work. I can adjust the ride height if need be.
