Took her out to the 1/4 mile last night...
I know this car is not built for the drag strip but i was curious on what time it would put out. The weather was perfect 39F. The car ran a 13.1 @ 108.9 with 2.2 60fts , i did not launch and shifted at 7500 rpms from 1st to 2nd gear to avoid wheel hop. All other shifts were done at 8100-8300. Im sure with a bit more traction this car can hit a high 12 second pass with a slightly higher trap speed. On a side note my buddies 480whp 335i broke an axel cause he launched at 4500 rpms lol Wheel hop ftl!! My m3 chirped tire between every gear change lol.
car specs: 2009 e90 m3 6 speed AE performance axel back exhaust AFE intake 19 bbs ch's with Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Position 245/35/19 fronts and 275/35/19 back A few pics at the gas station before arriving at the track sorry for the crappy iphone pics My buddies 335i with a broken axel he learned his lesson not to launch a car.

He broke his rear output shaft using those wheels and tires? If so I would say it was defective.

Wheel hop is tuff on a car. I have never noticed any wheel hop in my M3. When my tires let go it simply spins.
