Newer e90/92 ZCP too wide for Z4MC?

Hello all, just picked up my 07 Z4MC and first thing in order is a nice wheel/tire upgrade. I've searched and can see the CSL/ZCP questions have been beaten to death, but I'm trying to find out if the newer ZCP's are too wide to run (especially in front):

19x9 et31/19x10 et25

^ those will not fit unless you put in a lot of neg camber up front.

frt 8.5" et35 perfect fit
rr 9.5" et35 and needs a 10-15mm spacer to make flush

I am running 19x8.5 +35 fronts and 19x10.5 +20 rear with no rubbing and only a one inch drop. No issues at all. Running 245/35/19 front tire and 275/30/19 rear tire.

I am also running a 19x8.5 +29 and 19x9.5 +22 OEM setup and they work fine as well with OEM size tires.

Just try some wheels out for yourself. When the S2000 first came out I was the first back in 2001 to run the larger 6 pot Endless BBK and nobody knew what wheels to run so I went out and bought 3 sets of wheels...ASM Spec Prodrives, Wedsports SA90s, and BR 17s. All fit with no spacers aside from needing a 3mm for the Weds. But my point is I knew they would fit but nobody knew so I said screw it and bought them.

Then Endless USA told me to bring my car down so they could check on spacing for the new Enkei line coming out back then..Now everyone knows about AME wheels. R&D my friend. Same thing goes for the NSX, Z4M, E92 M3, etc...

You will have a lot of doubters out there but until you actually put the wheels up with a BBK or OEM brakes with the offsets, sizes, spoke curvature, etc..you won't really know.

Very true, I've been down that road before as well, that's some good advice. I'm having a hard time deciding lip (SSR MS1) or no lip (ZCP's above) but plan to go aggressive with it either way and work out the kinks when they arrive.

They will fit..... some negitive camber is required but they will fit. A bunch of members are running 9.5" et35 with 5mm spacers in the front and 255 series tires. In fact my brother runs 10" et20 in the rear with a 275.

i'm not doubting, but i do need to understand what you're saying...

the factory front wheel is an 8.0" x et42. if you were to install a 9.5" x et30 (essentially, with 5mm spacer) wheel, it would move the outer edge of the wheel out 31mm. is that not well past the fender line??? is this where the "some negative camber is required" comes in to play? how much camber is "some"? surely the factory suspension can't move in enough to compensate?

what am i not getting here?

You may have to get shim kit for the front to allow for more negative camber adjustment. Either that, or perhaps aftermarket suspension such as coilovers to allow even more adjustment just in case.

I think if you can mix up the offered sizes and get the following, it will work:
19x8.5 Front, +35mm
19x9.5 Rear, +20mm

They have a variety of options in color: silver, gunmetal and black

I think with a 255/30 tire up front you could run it with stockish camber. Say -1.9 which is the max i could get out of the front suspension before I got coils. My brother runs an 8.5" et35 BBS CH and he ran that on totally stock camber which is believe is like -1.1 or something with no rubbing. After trying many different wheels and tire combos on this car I have come to the conclusion that it is not totally the width of the tire or wheel but instead the diameter that causes rubbing. I have even put my stock rear with a 275 tire on the front of my car which is very low and was able to run it. The only place it rubbed was on the inside of the wheel well when I was turned at full lock. I also run my stock front wheels with a 255/35/18 tire and a 15mm spacer in the front and I don't rub at all and my car is really really low in the front but I am at -2.4 in the front

The 19x10 et25 will def fit in the back - I am running exactly that size (SSR GT2-H) on my Z4MC with a 275/30 tire.

Pal is correct. I have a 19x10.5 +20 with a 275 tire and no rubbing. I may push it to 285 but I may rub with that tire.

Same here. I now have 19x10.5 +22 rear wheels with 275/35/19 tires, mildly lowered on TCK D/A's @ -2.2 degrees negative camber. Tires were rubbing a bit, so I had the fenders rolled slightly. Now it only rubs the fender lining, instead of the fender itself. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to go 285's in the rear with current setup.

I noticed you are running a 35 series in the rear. I am running a 30 series. Hows the ride?

Actually my rears might even be 30 height lol, I suddenly don't remember. Well regardless, I believe it's more the type of tire rather than the height so much. I came up from General Exclaim UHP's (LOL) to Nitto NT05's. The ride was obviously much harsher and there's a lot more road noise. And the heights were off by only 5 so I think it's the type of tire rubber rather than heights.

I'm not sure about the 9" front with +31 offset (you're going to have to do your homework on that), but 245's seem to be max tire for most people, unless you do some fender pulling (not just rolling) and some extra negative camber, etc.

245's will clear up front especially if you're on stock suspension height. If you're lowered, you may need at least -2.5* of camber just in case.
