Missing plastic part

so i just noticed i'm missing the little circular plastic cover that hides the screw on the middle console. (to the right of where your knee would be)

i grabbed this photo online. it can't really see the cover but it would be at the bottom left of the photo. (hope that makes sense)

its the size of a quarter/half dollar....

any idea where to get such a random part like this?

ill take a proper photo on my lunch break

I know that folks generally expect that the BMW dealer will want a crazy price for parts, but in my experience, they can be surprisingly reasonable much of the time on stuff like this. Why not call a local dealer and see what they say?

not sure which part you are talking about, even with the photo.
can you take a pic of the missing part and post it up?

If nothing else, it helps build the relationship. Always a good thing!

I've had to get 3 of these damn things, ended up using a small amount of acoustic gel to "lock" it in, have no idea why it keeps falling out, it's a POS design.

I'm missing the same piece as well on the passenger side. $4.62 for the part at Tischer (plus shipping, which will probably cost as much as the part). LOL. Luckily, because I slide the passenger seat forward so I can see the B pillar window, the seat also incidentally covers the missing plug hole.

I've been using Penske parts, their shipping is far more reasonable and yes, it would cost you a lot for shipping.

what is strange is it wasn't in the car or under the seat which leads me to believe the service department broke it and removed it.

oh well, just order a replacement. 4 dollar part. 10 dollars shipping!!
