Changing MPG display

On the speedo cluster, how do you change the MPG display to the clock instead?

Couldn't find it in the manual. Try pressing and holding clock button, but
didn't do anything.

look on the end of your turn signal stalk. the button that says BC. that will cycle the display through all the monitored items. when you get to the MPG you can then press and hold the BC button. that will reset your mpg to zero. you can also switch from c to f on the temp with this same button.

Cheers

Note that the MPG is 'average MPG' not 'Live MPG'. If you have GPS you can also change it to L/KM or 100KM/L.

2006 3.0si MPG

I've had my 3.0si for about 6 months.
My MPG runs around 26.
On the highway, I'm getting 30 if I don't do 80 mph.
So yes, perhaps a little heavy on the throttle for a non ///M

^^I am right around the same. Got 23 this last tank and thought I drove it overly spirited.

Do you cruise at 5K RPM all the time or something?!?

Also helps to indicate if something is wrong with your engine...

For example if you're used to getting 25mpg and all of a sudden on the last tank you got 15mpg, you might have some indication that something is wrong.

Regardless of whether you have a lead foot or not, we all know what we average for our individual driving style. If you suddenly get a significant drop in MPGs, then it is a sign that there is something happening with your engine.

That's funny. I always reset my mpg display prior to driving the car hard, just to see how low it gets.

Nope. They're reset independently.

No, while MPGs are displayed hold down the same "BC" button on the turn signal stalk you use to switch the display between the MPGs, range, MPH, time, and temperature.

It will reset after holding for a few seconds.

This same technique will reset the average MPH counter, change the clock between 12H/24H format, and will switch the units shown for temperature between Fahrenheit and Celsius (depending on which one is shown when you hold the button).
