M Coupes in the natural habitat
This past weekend was one of the final track days for NE guys. My brother, along with 3 other M Coupes from Zpost, and a 4 other buddies with e46 M3s met up and torn up the track. I didn't manage to get many pics of the cars on track but I did manage to get some videos of Pal and tnsbruce running in the white group. This was one of the best track days I have been to in awhile. The Schattenbaum PCA is to me the best group to run with in the NE. They run a very relaxed, safe and friendly event. My favorite part is how they run "extended passing" in the combined instructors/advanced group. You can pass anywhere on track as long as you are are given a point by. That means on the straight, mid corner, braking zones... every where! It made getting through traffic sooooo easy and fun. I gotta say everybody in the advanced/instructors group was great at letting the faster cars through.
From left to right... Sipman, tnsbruce, F360C, Bammered, Pal VIDEOSSSS Me getting chased by Caeser an instructor in a badass e46 m3! Had a pants shitting slide at 1:59 Pal and tnsbruce The advanced/instructors group

haha very nice play on words!
Still have the bronze ZCPs... I use the OEM 18s for the track with R888s on them. The oem 18s have been though a bunch of different colors. First they were oem silver, then gun metal, then I painted them bronze (liked them so much I got bronze ZCPs), and now I have just painted them semi-gloss black

It was a great event and def cool to see so many Z4M Coupes at one event. We may have broken the record for Z4M Coupes at one place
Here are some of my random pics from the event ... Feel free to post any of them up or download originals. http://dertt.fotki.com/m-coupe/track-events/2010/njmp-thunderbolt-nov-6/ |

Pal,
Where did you get the nice ROUND numbers? I have been looking for something like that instead of the individual numbers I put on my window. |

They are vinyl numbers that tnsbruce showed me how to apply with a very mild soap solution. Once these are done I plan to get magnetic ones in the same pattern. |

I have just been using a 6" number on the small rear side window. No one seems to really care since I am normally the only Z4MC on the track...... |

Great video! Was the E46 M3 in the first link an SMG? Sorry for the beginner armchair quarterback question, but it was my understanding that you're supposed to downshift directly to the gear you want prior to entering a corner, rather than through all of them; an SMG would force this obviously. I'm very jealous!

how you can get away without a front plate in jersey amazes me. i can't go more than 5 miles before a cop pulls me over or at least gives me a dirty look and is thinking about it. i really wish i could take mine off!

I live very close to Penn and in Penn they are not required to have a front plate. Due to this the cops are very used to seeing cars with out front plates. So normally they don't even notice. Some will give you trouble but they are few and far between. They have to be really wanting to be an Arse.
