M mode setting for burnouts

Hey

Any tips on how to achieve a good launch

i have an e93(6mt) i usually take off trac control and take it up to about 7k and release....but im hearin its better to use the MDM feature for traction..when using mdm the car hesitates at launch

look for fifth gear m3 video on youtube, tiff needle explains why mdm mode is the "happy medium" for non-launch control takeoffs...

7K is too high for a good launch IMO. I would be somewhere around 4-5K. With MDM on and a launch at 4.5K is it pretty strong. If you know how to control the throttle, I would bet DSC off would be the best but for those without the ability to control the spin, it would be just a tire burner.
