the vb3 has an aggressive rear offset. you MIGHT be able to tuck in on the rear without fender rolling if you run 245's with a very rounded shoulder. Im sure Charles with VMR will chime in.

personally, i would not go that low on vb3 wheels. i bought the v710 (which has a special 1 series offset) and I'm still only lowering 1/2" to avoid rubbing issues. If you purchased the eibach springs and plan on installing them, you should also plan to roll your fenders. It might also be a good idea to match those springs to a stiffer shock (koni fsd).

Yeah but the v710's require alot of work to the fenders if your lowering your car, not so much with the vb3's. and alot of people say i shouldnt have a problem rubbing but i geuss i just have to wait and see

love the commentary.
VMR offers the 710 in a 1 series offset that means you dont need to modify the fenders. The VB3 on the other hand is not a 1 specific offset and will require fender modification.

i finally decided on getting the eibach pro with stock shocks and i actually really like the ride in the future im planning on getting some koni shocks to match up but for now as my DD i love the feel of the road its alot more pronounced, and i definetly am not rubbing with my wheel/tire setup stock tire sizes on 8.5 9.5 vb3's so i geuss the stretch may have kept me away from rubbing but who knows. ill try and get some pics up later havent gottin around to taking any.

Id certainly bank on some new shocks soon like the FSD's, many many threads stating the reasons why lowered springs on stock shocks DO NOT work for performance and durability over time. And HONESTLY..if you spent the time and money having ur springs switched out, why the hell wouldnt u just do the shocks at the same time????
That question always puzzles me.. |

Guess its just one of those things I figure, why not just wait until you actually have the money to do the whole job the right way all at once, rather than a half shotty job and then pay the price and more money and time later. The ride on this car isnt that bad, snot like the RFT's where you really feel you gotta get rid of em right away
