12mm F/R on OEM 18" to clear BBK, any chance of fender rub?

Ok, gonna have to probebly go with 12mm spacers front and back to clear a BBK. My M3 is an '08 and OEM suspension and not dropped...yet. Measuring I believe if I go with 12mm spacers front & back, I should be ok and not have any fender rubbing. But what if I drop it with a ZCP competition struts & springs or with a Dinan set up? The spacers are temperary until I decide on some new wheels when the tires on now start to meet their end. Anyone got 12mm spacers or wider with stock 18"s?

Cheers,

I am running the stock 18" setup with EDC. I installed 12mm spacers on all 4 corners and had slight rubbing in the back - I'm sure 1mm less would have been ok.

I think it rubs towards the back of the car, at the interface between fender and bumper - there's a clip or similar that holds the two together and the plastic fender liner has a small protection dome over that clip. I shaved off the plastic dome with a utility knife and it still rubbed occasionally.

If I wanted to keep the 12mm spacers I'd have to give it a bit more negative camber at the rear. So I decided to get rid of the 12mm and will soon put 10mm spacers all around.

Interesting, I would have thought 12mm would not rub. But that is why I asked the question. Hopefully soon I'll get wheels. Thanks,

Decided to go with the APracing 368/345 BBK. Style 219 18" wheels will need a minimum of 10mm from what I've read and was told by AP reps. Then I read about how 10mm is not recomended fitment and safety reasons (I don't know how true that is) so I figured I'd go with 12mm for now until I decided on the right wheels to clear the BBK.
