My M3 colour change !
I have just bought a 2008 silverstone M3 , I can say that non of the colours from that year really grab me ! so its in the body shop , being completely stripped down and being resprayed Estoril blue , I have an E46 estoril M3 for over 3 years and still love the colour , I did think about dakar yellow , it has taken me 2 weeks to decide on the new colour , even had doubts today when the body shop needed a definate answer lol , hopefully be getting it back next friday.
I have already bought some edition front and side grills , and black tail pipes , they are also spraying my wheels gloss black , but still undecided whether I will change the wheels yet , I can't wait to get it back My inspiration How it looked when I bought it Ok guys rip it apart ! It should be done in around 2 weeks |

Been up to the body shop today to have a look , its coming along well now , they found a couple of area's that have had some repairs already , they were hoping to have everything primed today , the wheels were painted yesterday and they had the tyres refitted today , they have done a great job on the wheels , looking forward to seeing the finished paint on the car now
An old repair that was made invisible , well almost ! I wish they have covered the seats ! I hope there valeter does a very good job Hopefully it will be ready to collect this weekend |

Latest update , the car isn't going to be ready to collect this weekend , most of the stuff will be done but the new front windscreen on order from BMW hasn't been delivered to RAC windscreens and won't be now until tuesday , it had a copy windscreen fitted , and I want an original back in it.
Anyway , the car is starting to take shape , the photos of it freshly painted look good , just looks a backwards step with the wet sanding lol. Now starting to look good The wet sanding has started The edition black exhaust tail pipes being fitted , there are just 4 rivets holding them on so an easy swap The wings had been fitted when I left which made it a whole lot better I really , really can't wait to get it back Cheers Ian |

it working out at £3000 which is about $4600 including the wheels , I bought the edition trim from a dealer which was £430. A wrap would have been cheaper but I wanted a more permanent higher quality finish |

You did the best thing.Estoril is my favourite colour and i already had 2 E46s in this color. Now i want an E92 but BMW has replaced Estoril with Monte Carlo Blue.
I was at BMW Individual in Garching and had seen an M3 Monte carlo in real.It is realy very much close to Estoril but 5% more deep. Now i have to decide if i paint my 2008 AW E92 M3 or to put on order an 2011 MCB.Waiting to see your beautiful car finished.

I love seeing fresh paint after just being applied. Estoril blue is a beautiful colour, something similar to Monte Carlo blue. Easily one of my favourite colours for the M3 up there with Dakar yellow and Melbourne Red. Cant wait to see the finished result.
