Run Flats - FFFFUUUU
These front tires had about 50% life on them when I bought the car.
This is the results of 15 autocross runs with water sprayed on them after every run. The other tire is in better shape, but it is starting to shed pieces of tread as well. A "premium max performance" tire shouldn't delaminate like that. |

Welcome to the we all know runflats suck club. My runflats didn't last 6 months before they started cracking and delaminating with no autox on em

Seriously. . . I've had $87 Kumhos that I've abused the crap out of and while they wore quickly, they didn't freaking fall apart. I guess maybe the thicker sidewalls don't dissipate heat well or something. |

All I know is that my first set of ps2s on my ca. Lasted for 25k miles with a full summer of autox included and they only died because I took out the tires on the left side of my car on a pothole in the night

I'm actually got a second set of rims on the way for autox tires. Probably going to put take-off R6s on them.
For the stock rims, I'm going to toss on some Sumitomo HTR Z IIIs. Dirt cheap and very well reviewed. |

I just got Michelins Pilot Sport A/S. They replaced my Goodyear NCT RFT.
I feel like I am driving a different car. A much better car. A great car. Why the heck did I wait so long? |

This is why we call them runcraps.

I actually had better luck with the Goodyear Eagle LS2 runflats on my car, they lasted 17K mi and were just worn to low for winter. They handled like well... crap.
I have some Hankook v12 and just rotated them after 6500mi, look pretty good, more than 6/32 on the rear and even more on the front. I have not made it to the track yet, but I'll hope to next year. Great tire for aggressive street driving. |

Runcraps! What a word!
LOL! This should belong in the Merriam Webster dictionary. So true!

I don't know but that looks like some serious alignment issue. especially since it's on the inside and only one side. that just doesn't look right
