Re-Delivery after 7 weeks wait!! E92AWZCP

The Eagle has landed!!! after 7 weeks from dropping off at Harms in Munich.
This is my second M3 (from a 2009 to a 2011ZCP) and my 4th European Delivery.

Now I am getting ready for my usual 8 hrs full detail.
This car will be a stocker since I will be selling it in next year.

Enjoy the pics.

Congrats! I am playing the waiting game right now and can't wait for the car to come back from Europe. Your car looks great!

I change cars every year and time my vacation around European Delivery. That way I can drive a new car every year that cost me $350 a month to own.
Call me crazy!!

CRAZY lol.............. doesn't seem to be a very cost effective practice, but I see your in Miami, so perhaps cost effectiveness is a non issue for you.

Pardon my ignorance, so do you get to keep the ED license plate?
Congrats. If I have the time and "money" I can see myself changing cars every 2 years .

Thanks, I've seen yours and I love your color combo. I wonder if you've damage your rims during ED. Mine had to be replaced thanks to the streets of Italy and France. I was used to the 18in but the competition rims are over exposed. You will have to be very careful with curbs and potholes.

Your itinerary was great. Every European Delivery is a honeymoon for us.

Thanks for sharing.

Here in the states people pay from $750 to $1200 a month to lease this kind of vehicle. My cost is $350 a month and I can sell it when I please. Now which way is more cost effective?

The rules have changed regarding the plates. Now you need to leave both plates at the shipping company. When you drop off your car you will have to tell the person that process your paperwork that you would like to keep the tags and both of them will be in the trunk at re-delivery at your dealer. It wouldn't hurt to inform your CA that you would like to secure the tags when the car is re-delivered.

Still $350 taking into account depreciation of the previous car you need to "roll off"?

Yes, $350 is the difference between the sale of my '09 and what I paid for the car plus the interest of financing the car.

interesting..even with sales tax counted in it would be marginally higher... interesting way of doing it. I go for the longer term approach. My last car I averaged out $170/mo over 6 years. Key thing is you need to target a car that doesn't deperciated really hard.

Taxes are not an issue since I only pay taxes on the difference of the sale price and the purchase price doing a "pass-thru"

As long as the OP keeps buying thru ED that depreciation is almost none as there is at least a $8000 saving compared of buying it thru a local dealer.
