2011 Competition Package ZCP Rims

Can anyone suggest the best place to try and sell these rims in So. Cal? I took them of my new M before they hit the street. 6 miles on them, no tires or tpm sensors. I was trying to get 3K, does that sound correct. Thanks!

I think 3k is a little much, but that's just me... Maybe someone would be willing to buy them for that much, but I sure as heck wouldn't.

I just can't agree... I think they are cheaper than 3k. That just seems over the top to me.

I am expecting to get a quote from my dealer on wheel/tire packages for winters. I should have a better idea then.

Maybe, but its the most desired OEM wheel, and nothing beats OEM. If you think they're not worth 3k, then GL finding a set at 2k with tires when 220Ms are selling for 2k with tires too.

I wouldn't sell mine for 3k if someone wanted to buy it, hell no. $2400 for the rims + $400 for TPMS + $1500 for PS2s for 2k?
yea right not in a million years.

I'm not trying to be difficult, I just don't see it.

The OEM 220M's with performance tires built on the website are listed at $1200. I can see adding some cash for additional requirements to that, but another $800?

What makes the ZCP rims that much better to justify another $1k? I know this is a heated subject because a lot of people go back and forth for hours on the ZCP set or the 220M's, and I certainly don't want to start that up Just my line of thinking.

I got the ZCP anyway, so I guess it really doesn't matter, haha... I'll just have to wait and see if the OP manages to sell them

the extra $800 is justified in that its rare. Even though many cars are coming with ZCPs, the car is already in its 4th year and ZCPs have been only available for a few months. Not every ZCP owner will sell their wheels, most are not and so far there has been less than 5 sets for sale on the forums total. While there has been 50+ sets of 220s for sale...

The simple price is supply/demand. In the E46 days, the OEM 19s were fetching less than $1k, the ZCPs were fetching $1.5k, and the price is still the same. I don't expect 359M wheel's price to drop anytime soon.

BTW not trying to argue with you, just answering your questions

Oh definitely I can totally understand the rarity of them making the price go higher! It's just funny because there are people who say they are crap and swear by the 220M's and then people who say the exact opposite So there are a lot of feelings involved with the pricing I think too.

Funny thing is... that now everyone is getting the ZCP package, the 359M wheels become less rare.

This isn't that hard.

Tires are $1400 retail, $1000 on a good day by seller
Wheels are $? retail, $1400 by seller
TPMS are $250 retail, $200 by seller

$2800 for a complete set-up. I think that is optimistic.

Sold a set of my OEM 18s yesterday for $800.

They sell the competition rims brand new at Turner Motorsport for $2K. So I would think as a personal seller you would need to go lower than that to get any real interest. Most people would prefer working with Turner if the price point is close.

2500-2700, maybe? Beside, 245/265 looks too small for ZCP wheels anyway.

If I were to get another set of wheel, it would be 18" CCW not OEM.

Good luck with the sales!

I bought a set of E46 ZCP take offs (<20 miles) for $1800 shipped. That was for wheels and tires and was off one of the first cars in the country with them. $3k is absurd, unless of course you have a willing (stupid) buyer. I wouldn't pay much more than I would pay for 220s ($1900-2200 with TPMS). And you could argue you should pay less since the 220 is a higher quality/forged wheel.

Well think whatever you want but you're wrong. Brand new if you were to buy them you would pay over 4k with ps2's.

To the op you could probably get 3k. I sold mine on the forum for $2600 with 250 miles on them and I priced them to sell in a day.... and they did. If I were more patient I could have definitely got 3k. So worst case you should get very close to 3k if they are in perfect condition which I assume they are. BTW I sold them without the TPMS, just rims and ps2's.

Are these the ones? Price is $2050 brand new from Tischer, no tires, no tpm. Of course, they aren't available yet, just for pre-order. So you want a $950 premium for no wait? IDK. Maybe someone will want them. Good luck.

Cheers.

Do you not understand that the $950 premium is WITH tires?
nobody here is trying to sell rims for $3000, that is a rip off...
$3000 WITH tires..is the FAIR DEAL...

jeez ppl can't read.

When its all said and done, its up to the people selling them, more power to the good deals to be had. I won't be selling mine for anything close to that price, not that I'll ever sell them. 359>220 any day. BMW M put them on the GTS for a reason.

Yup. New car (2011 e90 6sp) arriving in a couple of weeks. It'll get RG63s and the stock wheels may get used for winter tires if I need them. I'm trying to clean out the garage. Now 2 sets of magnesium race wheels need to go.

The bottom line is that they are used, albeit slightly...

$4k? Ahh!

The only thing that matters is what someone would be WILLING to pay for them. If there isn't anyone willing to pay $3k, then he's not going to get $3k for them... Seems like there aren't very many people (here at least) willing to pay $3k for them.

The fact is that the factory forged 19"s are lighter, stronger and forged. The ZCP wheels are nice because they are new and give the m3 a fresh new look, however, after the infatuation with the new look of the ZCP wheels diminishes, I don't see why one would choose them over the factory forged.

Personally, I love the look but will not sacrifice the strength, durability and low weight of a factory forged wheel for them.

I need to pick up a set of RACs!
