Received Vin# But failed at tracking on the W&W website

Very confused. I finally have my Vin #, but can't seem to track my car thru Vessel tracking via W&W's website.

I kinda need some help here guys.
I type in my VIN# and "no data" comes up. I'm obviously doing something wrong. What do I do to track my car? The ship left Bremerhaven and is enroute to the port in NY.

I'm eager to see where it is @ sea right now...and I need some help.

According to my dealer the ship will dock in NY on July 5th (Monday).
I do not know when the ship left Bremerhaven.

Is it too late to track my car now?
AM I typing in my vin# in the wrong section on the W&W website?
No idea.. All I know at this point is that I'm confused and at the same time getting very very exited to optain my new 128i convertible.

Any help/input is greatly appreciated.

Register here and you can track the ship as long as it's broadcasting its location. WW is not as accurate. You will be able to track it for several days through Southampton then not across the Atlantic until a day or two out of port in NYC or Charleston. The BMW site will always be generic. To my knowledge the vessel tracking will be your best option.

Jim, Could be a couple of things wrong.

1. VIN number could not be accurate as you have it written down.
2. Make sure you are entering it on the W&W website under Cargo Tracking.

I did not have any problems with mine and it will keep you updated (24 hour delay) until it reaches the port here in the US.

The Vin # is on a print out my dealer had prepared for me. It's directly off my dealership's sales manager's Online ordering login. His Vehicle Inquiry screen print out says "In transit to Final VPC"

I have the Vin # on the sheet along with the production #

I still cannot search anything on the W&W website...keeps saying not found.
Maybe someone can help me. (If willing to help!)

If W&W isn't the shipping company used it won't come up on their sight. That happens sometimes. Your dealer should know what ship it"s on. Find out the name of the ship and then track it at http://sailwx.info/shiptrack/index.html for open ocean, or Marine tracker http://marinetraffic.com/ais/

Marine tracker only works when it's in range of port.

To the best of my knowledge WW is BMW shipper to USA. I couldn't track mine either despite knowing what ship its on. You can go to the WW site and see what ships will be docking within your timeframe.
