Vorsteiner 2X Sided Bootlid Off BPS E92 M3 - AW with CF tail

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Hi guy,

I have a few PMs about this bootlid I've had laying around for a few months, but I wanted to make an official post and let you guys see some pictures of it. I sold my E92 M3 (sob!! sob!!) back in January. The bootlid is the only thing left.

This bootlid comes pre-painte Alpine White and fades to an exposed tail. It includes a OEM BMW Roundel, blacked out M3 emblem & the actuator switch. What I found out is that, since CF is thicker than the stock steel, the trunk actuator button is almost impossible to get out and we didn't want to chance breaking the CF, so you get a pre-installed free actuator button.

I'm asking $1,200 pickup or plus shipping and a $40 packaging fee (just like buying from VRS). Local pickup with cash will take precedence over shipping. If you not ever tried to ship something this large, finding a box is almost impossible. You can buy them fairly reasonably from Uline, BUT you have to buy 4-5 at a time. Minimum advertised price is $1795 and figure $200+ to paint and $200 to ship, if you buy new. In my estimation, you'd be buying this at about a 40% savings over new plus the cost of paint and the included parts.

Obviously, there is no question that this is authentic since I was/am a Vorsteiner dealer.

Check out the pics below.

Bob

FYI the camera was a Sony a700, with either a Sony 70-200mm f2.8 G lens (my baby) or a Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 wide angle telephoto lens.

This was taken prior to putting on the blacked out M3 emblem ($50 +/- value)

Sale pending

Hi guys,

I have a deal pending for $1,200 cash picked up, with a back-up offer for the same deal. If those fall thru, I have 3 offers at $1,100, so I'm sure it will be gone very soon.

I'm posting that info, so members get an idea of the real FMV of one of these bootlids. I've received a myriad of ridiculous lowball offers, with the lowest guy saying the last bootlid that sold went for $600. If that is the case, it either wasn't a VRS, wasn't double-sided, or the guy that sold was either desperate for a quick sale, or had more money than sense and just wanted to get rid of it.

Thanks for looking and the positive comments.
