What would you do...
If you woke up today and realized that you had a tuned 135i with sways and strut brace but were still driving around on stock wheels and runflats and stock suspension - what would you do FIRST (income tax refund restricted)
1) Buy new lighter wheels and non runflat tires 2) Buy a set of coilovers ?

Def option #1, but....
you could splurge a bit and do tires only (non-rtf) on stock wheels, I suggest hankook v12. AND some new coilovers so that would only be about ~$500 more than just coilovers. Probably the best bang for your buck. GL |

I thought coil over will give you much improvement in handling than tires alone.

you will really see how bad the suspension is when you change the RTF, but if you just change the suspension first you won't see as big of an increase in grip (you will see a difference in the ride). |

Then the coilovers could really come in to play.... KW2... I just wish there was still the deal on them at $1450 for Variant 2 I believe that's what it was instead of the $1800Plus...

If you eventually plan to do both then I'd just look for deals and figure in other options. You probably won't find many deals on coilovers and a used set can be questionable. However you'll find some "wheel whores" just trading out to something else. Also you may want to use up your stock tires if you can't sell them for much anyways.
So basically I'd do coilovers if I had some spare money and then just keep my eyes out for a good trade or barely used wheel option. Plus the stock wheels look pretty good and fit better than most aftermarket options.

Gill at Tire Rack did such a fantastic job putting together a great deal and worked around the delayed availability of the 8.5 Breyton's that I just had to do it. So Breyton Race GTS-R with Red Stripe, Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 XL, new set TPMS & valves, rebates, mounting - the works. Unfortunately now I also see that Turner has a real steal of a price on Bilstein PSS10's.... So there are coilover deals out there... unfortunately for my budget...
