Place to get my car inspected?

Hi folks,

I am going to an HDPE in a few weeks, and I wanted to get my car inspected before heading out. Obviously taking it to the dealer is not a smart idea...any recommendations about a reliable place that could quickly do this for me? Ideally somewhere in the Westchester/southern CT area, although Long island/NJ is feasible if Westchester is not an option.

Really? is your check engine light on? I thought regardless or where you take your car the fee was $37... That is the New York State fee. Dealer should be fine, but I could be wrong. Find out from the dealer.

I think you misunderstood my question. I'm asking about a comprehensive pre-track inspection, NOT the NY state inspection. I can check a few of the things myself, but a lot of them I don't have the expertise or knowledge to do correctly.

With which organization are you going? They should be able to recommend some local shops/members who can do this... even for free. Ask them.
