As I am finalizing my "invoice +" order, I had a look at something regarding the ZWP (exclusive extended ivory leather package) on my 2011 Z4 3.0i that I am picking up in Munich in May.
I had planned on ordering ZPP (Premium Package), ZSP (Sport Package) and 4BN (Dark Wood Trim) as part of the buildout of the car. Using the 2011 wholesale price list in US Dollars, these come out to: ZPP 3,550 ZSP 2,095 4BN 455 Total 6,100 Then I thought again about ZWP. If you order the ZWP package, the cost of ZPP Premium Package is reduced $1,000 to $2,550; the cost of ZSP Sport Package is reduced $365 to $1,730 and I avoid the cost of $455 for the Dark Wood trim as ZWP includes anthracite trim. So now, that looks like: ZPP 2,550 ZSP 1,730 ZWP 1,955 Total 6,235 So, for only $135, I would be getting the better quality Nappa leather, the better looking (IMO) anthracite trim and the extended leather in the ZWP package. This seems like a no brainer to me and I can’t believe I hadn’t worked this out before. This really seems like a good deal to me and with BMW's options pricing, I must be overlooking something. Am I missing something? |

You're right. For the options you want, this makes sense. I think the white leather looks cool, but I didn't order it. I worry that with the top down and exposure to road dirt and dust, white will be a bitch to keep looking good.
Maybe others who have ordered like a year ago it can comment on that. |

This makes sense for NA where options come in packages. Here in Switzerland and most of Europe, each options are separate stand alone optons.
Go for the Ivory leather. It looks great! T |

its like getting a black exterior. It looks great when its clean, but it takes more work to keep it looking good. The same with white interior. It looks wonderful, but you just have to accept the fact that it takes more work to keep looking good. The most complaints seem to be on the sides where there is alacantra, it seems to be harder to keep clean than the seats. If you enjoy cleaning, which a lot of people due, as its a mindless diversion, then get it, because your math works.

This makes it very easy to just wipe the dirt off the smooth surface of the Nappa leather. Other lighter colored grainy leathers I've had in past took a lot of rubbing to get the dirt out. ...and even at that, after time, I could never get all the dirt out of every crevise even after repeated rubbing. |

Teeze, i would suggest to get it, the leather is so soft and smooth cleaning it is not a problem. plus it just gives it that little bit more of a special feeling because of the quality and different texture. here are some pics of the dashboard (not included in any other extended package), doors and even light switch area.
sorry if it posts multiple times, the website is acting up.

I phoned my CA today and added the ZWP to my order, primarily because of the upgrade in leather quality and I do think the overall color scheme (red/ white/black) is nicer than the red/beige/brown wood combo I was originally considering. My car is 66 days from delivery and she asked "now are you sure this is the last change?"
I especially like the white section above the glovebox, I think it really opens up the interior visually compared to the black that is there on the other combos. I was hoping to get extended leather as part of this ZWP package; from what I read here, there still seems to be differing opinions as to whether the extended leather is only available on the 3.5 and 3.5is. I'm happy either way, if there is more leather than the normal Kansas leather, it'll just be a bonus. Thanks everyone for your input. memphis2012- thanks for the pics!
