2010 M3 Sedan Vs. 2006 Cayman S
Hey guys,
I need some opinions tonight. I have the opportunity to purchase a 2010 M3 Sedan, and trade my 2006 Cayman S tiptronic. I want to make sure this is the right decision. I know this is the "M3" forum, but I would really appreciate some objective opinions. I love both cars, I would just like some help Thanks !! |

As long as you get the coupe, you're going to be very happy!
I test drove the stick CaymanS and it left different but when I got back I'm my car I liked it x10 more.

If you're thinking about going to the sedan from your CS, it sounds like you've already made up your mind for more space. Plus you're pre universal audio/bluetooth/dfi, so I'm sure you'll have fun making the switch. And, the sound of the v8 is intoxicating, although I do love the sound of a CS with a remus though, beautiful.

Between an M3 and a 2009+ Cayman S with PDK (or MT, for that matter), I would hesitate. On one hand, the M3 is more comfortable, more practical, and slightly cheaper, and it comes with free maintenance. On the other hand, it's bulkier and heavier, and has significantly higher fuel consumption. Overall, performance is pretty much a tie.
Between an M3 and a 2006 Cayman S with Tiptronic, I would definitely pick the M3. My previous cars were Miatas and a Lotus Elise. I got used to the bulk and weight of the M3 fairly quickly, but it is a different driving experience, especially around town. |
