I'm looking for a place too. I want to finally get it done next weekend if possible. Shades of gray is where I wanted to take it, but that's just too far away. There's gotta be a good place that's not nyc or philly. Anybody....?

Had mine done at two diffrent places. I won't bother mentioning the first, they did a horrible job on the dot matrix I disputed the credit card transaction. Then I found a shop in Seaside Heights called Advanced Solar control, they were the only shop that gauranteed dot matrix coverage without sanding it down. So far my buddies Zo6 another buddies e92 and my e92 all came out excellent and I used 18% tint.

i dont think we can get a deal lower than $200 for the job we will be getting done..
but i really need a place close by in north jersey because in case something happens, i dont want to NY city back and forth and hit the tunnel trafic everytime. |

I'll make the trip to the art of tint with you guys. looks like we have 3 who want tint. I'm an hour or so from morristown. maybe we can get a small discount for 3? Needs to be good weather for me car still has summer rubber.

even if we dont go there together, one of us can negotiate with the shop prior to our visit and we can go there in different times...
we can give our names so that they can apply that discount once we get there. the other thing is, each tint job takes about 2-3 hours therefore i guess they can not finish all of us in one day if there is only 1 person doing the job.. |

As far as I know its just Tom, I wouldn't want anyone else doing it. I would expect you'll pay between 200-250 also depends on the type of tint the ceramic is much more expensive. You can mention me, Jeff with the AW M3 with the Pennyslvania bugs in the trunk, it might help.

i got mine done at boom boom in palisades park. $150 plus $20 tip. 50% all around, they wanted me to go darker but I insisted on 50%. it came out pretty good, not perfect but better than most tint jobs ive seen on my friends car.

check you Soundwaves in Prospect Park,Pa (right outside of Philly near Philly Airport). I've been getting my tint done there for 8 years (4 different cars). They do quality work there and use high quality film. Ask for Matt.

i asked them... they said, $220 plus tax which is not bad...
it looks like a clean and nice place, probably get it done there.. but still i am very concerned about this "dot matrix" issue and really want to get a perfect result which is with no white bubbles around the dots. |

For a quality CERAMIC tint job you are looking at at least $220-250 ($350 is not unheard of). Yes there are many places which can tint a car for as little as $100 but caveat emptor when it comes to the film they use.
For the dot matrix just ask them to cover it with black vinyl first if you are worried. |
