Tyres from the US

How much does it cost to get tyres imported from the US?

Was the $1000 including the delivery fee or just for the tyres?
Also, which tyres did you get?

Franco, like BMW86 said if the total is less than AU$1000, then you don't really pay anything. That said a decent set of tyres will set you back a little bit more.

I got my Michelin PS2s from Tirerack.com for $1700 all up including shipping and about $350 in customs charges. Which is much less than the $800 per corner I was quoted here and got it in 4 days as opposed to the 3 weeks here!

alik01, do you still have OEM wheels and if so what size tyres did you go for?

I have the OEM 18" M-double spoke 208 (I think that's the number).

I went for 225/40/18 all around, this setup seems to work a lot more for me and the handling is a lot more balance i.e. a lot less understeer!

Also, the Michelins' have been amazing, would recommend them any day!

Yeah I love the 208's look, only one I'd rather have is the BMWP 313s, which are pretty similar.

I found the square setup to work better, definite increase in balance. Try to go for the Michelins as well, they reallly are a great great tyre!
