Vorsteiner Bootlid on STOCK M3??

Hey,

Does anyone have any pictures of an M3 that is STOCK, with the Vorsteiner CF trunk??

Every picture I have seen is with a modified/lowered car, so the VRS suits it pretty well.

I am wondering if it would look out of place on an M3 at stock ride height.. It's a very aggressive part, but I don't plan on lowering for awhile (or ever), so I am curious how it would look.

Thanks

I think it is a rather aggresive mod for an otherwise stock M3.
I personally wouldn't do that, I think you have to have a relativley modded M3 to run a VRS Bootlid

You're right, I was thinking at minimum you'd need a drop, which I don't plan on doing.

Purely out of curiosity, why would you never intend on lowering?
Remember that the M3 edtion runs 10mm lower all round than stock from the factory and a set of eibachs will lower you 12mm (approx).

I'm planning on going for the boot lid or wheels next but im lowered running spacers and a few other mods...

I owned a BMW from 00-03, and during that time my dealer was kind of lethal, hence making me terrified to do any type of modification.

I am worried about voiding warranty, and in the case of EDC I am worried that any changes in suspension will cancel out the EDC (won't it?)

you can get modest drop using lowering springs that wont effect EDC.

EDC will only be thrown off by coilovers, or by doing silly things with the suspension, which none of the off the shelf kits widely used on here will

I am thinking off adding a this vrs bootlid to my car (below), was just about to order one today and saw this thread, any thoughts if it would go or not? I have also seen some with the lip in black, would this be overkill...

It would look great on your car!!

MrLOL, that's really true that springs won't have an effect on EDC??? How much does the Dinan suspension springs lower the car?

the BMW M3 edition models are dropped 10mm so BMW is fine with 10mm.

Both the H&R and Eibachs are advertised as working fine with EDC

I think it'd look fine stock with the VRS Aero Bootlid. It's pretty subtle so...

The Edition, Japanese, and ZCP M3s are all lower than ours by 10mm, though it's not entirely accurate to say that "BMW is fine" with that drop. The Japanese M3s have different shocks, and it's safe to assume that the Edition and ZCP M3s do, so at the very least, BMW revalved the shocks to accomodate for even a meager 10mm drop.
