Has anyone in the US tried ordering MCB and been successful? im having a hell of a time with it

I am surprised, given some of the other colours, such as LSB that have been ordered. Having seen MCB in person, IMO it looks much better in pics than in person. I do like it, but it doesnt seem to pop as much as I thought it would, might have just been the lighting in the showroom. Although the matching stitching etc was a nice touch, it was nothing special. I personally think I like the Lemans Blue better, but MCB will be rare for sure.

Good luck, I am sure someone has to be able to order it for you. Seems odd.

none of the dealers think its possible for some reason. my dealer here at home is completely clueless. if i cant get MCB im just gunna buy a used 2009 or something and paint it Estoril.

btw, if had lemans...it looks navy blue in most lighting...which i hated. im a total Estoril fanboy, lol

Have you talked to a dealer that has ordered an E9X M3 in an Individual color (aka special order color - option 490) or knows about that process for M3s? If you haven't, that's the first step since most U.S. dealers do not know it is possible. If you have, it is probably just a matter of time until that color becomes routinely available through the Individual program. I say that because it is a current color in production.

That color has been ordered for an M3 in Canada (by "Mark's M"), but it was not through the "normal" Individual program process. Also, some of these new colors that come out (e.g., MCB, Frozen Grey, etc) are used exclusively for certain models (and model variants or limited color runs) for a period of time before they are made more widely available. I assume that is done as an additional selling point for those new models and model variants ("Edition" model, GTS, etc).

actually i contacted long beach bmw on three seprate occasions over the past 3 weeks and they never got back to me.

however...my dealer just got word that individual ordering is now open for 2011s and getting MCB shouldnt be a problem.

i will let you guys know how it goes, and potentially i will be the first US customer with MCB?

I have a E90 M3 scheduled for ED pickup at the end of May and I'm trying to get the color changed to MCB.
Unfortunately I'm hitting the same issue as yours, where my dealer doesn't know who to talk to at BMW NA to make this happen.
What dealers have experience setting those types of customization?
Does the ED process changes anything regarding custom color ordering?
