Hi all, this is my 2nd mods besides the painted reflectors (only if you guys are consider it as a mod )
I just installed OEM BMW Performance Grills on with my friend. Thought to take some pics and share with you guys!

Please don't mind my photo skill since I'm not a photo guru or anything professional.

Looks good!

I just installed mine two weeks ago and was amazed at what a transformation it was (my car is also white).

looking good dude....the OEM grills are definitely built solid. anyone who considers changing out their grills should get this over any replicas out in the market.

Bump for the IS Can't go wrong with an AW E92, either. Nice cars.

Those are gloss black right? I have been looking for a new set after going through multiple pairs that IND couldn't paint correctly.

Just installed the same grills this weekend. The quality is great, highly recommend these over painted versions. I paid $60 per side, so $120.

It's nice the the front of the slats are gloss black as well as the 'surround'.

anyone have a picture of what these would look like on a jet black car?

would it look strange having the grills entirely the same color as the car?

I was originally thinking of doing gloss black around the edges with matte black slats but i can get the all gloss much cheaper. Would it look better with the matte slats?

also how are they as far as chips? when the paint gets a rock chip are they black throughout? whats underneath matte black? chrome?

By the way, even though they're compatible with the M3, they're not listed for our cars on the BMW Performance web site. You will need to search under the E92 328i or 335i accessories to order these.

I wish BMW would make available the matching side gills for our M3s as well.

Yeah, I have those already, but I'd sleep better knowing they were OEM

to each his own. I like the glossy cause it looks a little classy than matte IMO.

I'd like to know the answer too.

cause they are exactly the same as E92 3-series. I don't see any problem with that as long as it's made by BMW.
I think I saw a guy from europe posted a thread of the matching side grill but it's called the stain chrome I remember.

No problem. I considered changing the sides to gloss black to match the grilles but I have an E90 and they are supposed to be a real bitch to swap (much trickier than E92). I don't want to risk scratching something. So I plan on leaving them alone, especially since I currently have no intention of changing my trunk badge or exhaust (therefore, some polished/chrome will always exist).

they aren't chrome underneath, I know that. They are solid black plastic, so they won't chip nearly as easily as painted would. If a chip does occur, I expect just to see more of a "flaw" than a chip since it should be black under there.

I think it doesn't looks too awkward without changing the side grills. I'm planning to leave them alone as well.

You can get these from Tischer BMW for $50 per side ($100 total). Here you all go.

I already started buying mods before I even have my car!
