2011 Infiniti M

Any thoughts on the upcoming Infiniti M with either engine (V6 or V8)? Looks like the V8 will be putting out 420hp. From the previews it looks as though it has a much nicer interior with more options than the M3 for around the same price (or lower).

It may have nearly the same amount of horsepower. But, how that power gets put down to the ground is another story. We all know it wont be to the tune of 8.5k rpm!

The above and it wont handle or feel anything like an m3. This thread is so silly, I can't believe I'm replying to it.

Don't get hook up with Japanese car. There's Nissan, but not Infiniti in Japan. Nissan: INFINITI same car with a different logo

The car doesn't look very impressive.

Infinitis are great cars but just not at the level of an M3.

As an Infinity owner, Sub-Zero said it right. Great cars but just not at the same level as the M. I would have loved to have spent the extra 20 plus grand if I had it and bought the M3 but for bang for buck I think I did well with the G37S. As for the new Infinity M I'm sure it will be awesome but then again I would bet it won't be seeing M3's in it's rear vew mirrors. IMO Infinity's interior styling/finish is met by very few auto companies in it's dollar range. Something I wish BMW would work on- not that it's bad, though. I would just love it if Bimmers interiors were a bit less plain.

not bad, it is a great alternative to non m car. i wouldn't mind driving the infiniti m if i'm in the market for 5 series or car of this class.

i would take the m5 over it though. i agree with other here, it is no m.

+ 1 I agree, however in the Japanese market Lexus holds the top spot for quality, fit and finish on both interior and exterior. Infinity maybe more exciting to drive, but if you speak for interiors in the Japanese market, Lexus trumps all the players even perhaps some of its german rivals

Forgive me I don't own a M3 (not yet) but when I test drove the manual G37S after the test drove the 335i, i gave the key to the salesman and went straigt to BMW even though he said the back seat of the 335i is smaller than a Honda Civic.

You cannot compare the driving feeling between Infiniti and BMW!
