another price check thread - 125i convertible
Hi guys,
Great forum here, i've been lurking here for a coupla days and theres some very good info here I'm currently looking at a 125i vert for my mum. I've been to chatswood BMW and with the nav, xenon and metallic paint i was quoted 82k driveaway - I didnt bargain hard as I'm not ready to buy yet but he wasnt buldging much either. What kind of price range should I be looking for with the above options? Oh and from the threads below it seems Sylvania BMW has good rep - any specific salesmen/women I should look for? I got to test drive the 125i coupe (no convertible available that day) when at chatties, and coming from a 370z owner I was quite impressed with its dynamics - nice sharp turn in + good mid-corner grip, and handles bumps very well - much better than the Z actually. The engine sounds fantastic as well, a little soft on power but i guess thats where the 135 comes in Thanks in advance |

FWIW, sounds like I may have done ok:
white with Msport pack with business nav, manual, and 18"'s for less than the discounted price suggested, driveaway. Of course it pays to see more than one dealer, and be sure you are happy to walk away from the deal until you get the price you are happy with. OZ |

I'd be looking @ 78k maximum.
I bought mine in August for 66.5k, M sports, sunroof (mind you a coupe). Still, i don't see why there's a 16k markup to get a vert with business nav (especially when manual) |

I got my 125 Coupe from Canterbury.
But from what I hear - you do fine at: - Canterbury - Sylvania - Kloster's (Newcastle) No harm in encouraging a bit of dealer competition!

Thanks for the info fellas, also thanks Zuzu for the contact
I agree re price hike for the convertible - I dont see why a fabric roof costs 15-16k, that takes it to near 135i/second hand 335i territory I'll be dropping by a few dealers tomorrow to start crunching numbers with them - I'll let u guys know when another 1 hits the streets |

You must have held a gun to their heads to give you $14,000 off the normal on road price with those options!
I guess where there is a will, there is a way! Now comes the waiting part.... |
