SBM 135i Suspension latest updates
I thought i would share with you what is the latest with our 135i in respect to the suspension set up. We have installed the E9x M3 rear link arms, the M3 Subframe bushings, M3 Lower front caontrol arms and the M3 castor rod arms, the H&R Sway bar kit and this is in conjunction with our Quaife LSD with the 3.46 ratio change and the AST Vorshlag coil over package with the vorshlag front camber plates. The ride is firm as you would expect and has obviously increased the road holding ability of the car. It is a large change over what the standard car is and all these changes have come over time, this is the current set up and i thought it time to share what we are up to with it. Suspension set up is personal and we have installed many different combinations in 2009 and i have devised what i think is the best everyday setup but that is for another topic another day.
Both rear link arms and H&R rear sway bar Enjoy, More images here |

If you don't mind me asking, Andrew how much did you "pay" to obtain the M3 parts and get them installed to your 135i? Meaning, if a person wanted to have similar parts as you got installed on your personal car, what would they expect to pay? Also how long does the install take?
And what do you think they did alone to the handling?

I can't do costs anymore or i'll be off this forum forever.
Just to sumarise the front castor rod arms and lower control arms are straight forward replacements as are the rear link arms, the real time consuming parts are the rear subframe bushings, so you may wish to consider the Quaife LSD upgrade at the same time. I have a few customers who have done the M3 upgrades, maybe they can post there opinions when they get back to the forum. |

Going by what a previous thread noted, PM may not be fine. However, a quick look at Andrew's username might be a hint for another way to contact him.
